About Dr. Amar Sohail
Dr. Sohail grew up in the Sacramento area where he attended University of the Pacific for undergraduate. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College, Nashville TN in 2008. Dr. Sohail is passionate about children’s dentistry because he is a firm believer in prevention of early childhood cavities and has pursued his clinical philosophies by being part of several clinical leadership roles in his previous positions.
Furthermore, he is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Sacramento County Dental Society.
​Dr. Sohail enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.

I choose to work with children because: I think children are the best patients because they are fun, have a great imagination, and are actually more brave. I think of children as little superheroes!

My hobbies include: Watching Baby Shark, I like to BBQ and grill. I love different ethnic foods, especially spicy food! After eating all that food, I try to run outdoors and train for 5k’s/half marathons.
If I weren’t a dentist, I’d be: I would be a BBQ chef and probably would eat all the food myself. I would call my restaurant: “The BBQ Doctor”, where children will always eat free - maybe after retirement.
About Itzel Lopez
Office Coordinator, Dental Assistant
I was born in Santa Cruz, California and grew up in the Yuba County area. I am currently continuing my education and working full time as an Office Coordinator/Dental Assistant. I come from a close family and am the oldest of five siblings. Now I'm starting my own family with an adorable daughter named Valeria!
I have been working with children for approximately two years and I look forward to meeting your children and helping them start their long dental journey off in a positive way!

About Anay Vazquez
Registered Dental Assistant
I was born in Oregon, raised in California and am the oldest of four siblings. Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work with children in some type of field. I started my schooling at Yuba College where I obtained my Associates Degree. I then attended Carrington College where I pursued a Dental Career, graduated, and obtained my Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License. At Smile Zone Dental I am very compassionate, have lots of patience, and appreciate working with children to give them their best dental care and experience ever!

I choose to work with children because: I really do enjoy being around children and seeing them smile and laugh. My goal is to always help guide and prepare them into their long journey of dental care.

About Stacy Sandoval
Business Coordinator
I was born and raised in Northern Georgia up until 2021, where we decided to move here to California. After graduating high school in 2014, I started to continue my education in becoming a vet technician as I’ve always had a passion for animals and being able to help them in any way possible. I became a first time mother to a beautiful daughter in 2016 where I then decided I wanted to put all my time and focus towards her. I have an absolutely wonderful family of 4 now. I still plan on continuing my education in the future to where I can one day own my own animal clinic/shelter in Mexico. Until then, you can find me working with one of the best teams here in Yuba City, Smile Zone Dental! I look forward to seeing your child(rens) face soon.

I have an adorable puppy named Honey. I love to try new food places, travel, and play with my dog in my spare time. I have been working with kids for about 2 years now. I choose to work with kids because: I love how open minded and pure hearted kids are. I love that I am able to build that good experience or even change their mind. The best feeling is when a kid comes to you scared and nervous, then leaves feeling more confident and having had a fun time.
